Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 May 2026

Operator

These terms govern your use of SpeakCLI ("the software") and the website at speakcli.dev, operated by an independent developer based in Switzerland — public identity at github.com/crvx14. Contact: support@speakcli.dev.

License grant

Upon purchase of SpeakCLI Pro, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the software on up to two (2) devices you own.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • · Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the software or license keys.
  • · Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.
  • · Use the software to build a directly competing product.

Refunds & right of withdrawal

14-day, no questions asked. We refund any SpeakCLI Pro purchase within 14 days. Email support@speakcli.dev with your Polar order ID and we'll process the refund through Polar within two business days.

For EU/EEA consumers this offer satisfies, and goes beyond, the statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). You retain that statutory right; this policy does not waive it.

After a refund, your installed copy continues to work on the device(s) where it is already activated until the licence-validity window expires, but you cannot activate the licence on additional devices. To prevent abuse, the same payment method or email may not be used to re-purchase SpeakCLI Pro for 30 days after a refund.

After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. We're reasonable — if something's broken, write to us. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in licence deactivation.

Warranty disclaimer

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law — including statutory consumer rights under Swiss or EU/EEA consumer-protection law.

Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the substantive law of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Exclusive place of jurisdiction is the courts of the operator's registered seat in Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer jurisdiction that applies to you — EU/EEA consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via the app or at speakcli.dev. Continued use after the "Last updated" date constitutes acceptance.
